On Friday, February 17th, the Sole Director of Titiro Digital, Francesca Cassani, participated in the conference “The Smart Home Looks to the Future: Energy, Services, Ecosystems,” organized by the Digital Innovation Observatory to emphasize how these three important drivers represent, to date, the development engine for the Smart Home in Italy.
Titiro Digital is a partner of the IoT Observatory, which presented a detailed overview of the Smart Home market in Italy and abroad during the meeting, as well as the main technological innovations introduced from the perspective of Italian consumers and the impacts produced by the increases in energy costs, which are consequently transforming the range of solutions offered for a smart home.

In 2022, there were significant innovations in the Smart Home market. The results of the Observatory’s studies in 2022 show an 18% growth in the market, which, without the obstacles characterizing the historical period we are living in, would have grown exponentially. On one hand, there is the situation of energy cost increases, which has prompted consumers to pay greater attention to consumption, thus also leveraging smart home technologies. Furthermore, emergencies caused by semiconductor and raw material shortages, in addition to the strong instability of supply chains, continue to pose a brake on market development and reduce the most significant sales.
On the other hand, there is a repositioning of the offer with communication strategies based on the benefits achievable in terms of energy savings, thus causing a strengthening of the offer of smart home services, thanks to new business models, in the foreground with Matter.
The 2022 market is worth 770 million euros, up 18%.
Italy represents the country with the highest growth rate compared to other European countries.
Smart Home devices can reduce heating consumption by 23% and electric consumption by 20%, saving consumers several hundred euros a year.
2022 marks a strong growth of all sales channels, especially the traditional one (+40% compared to 2021).
Great strides have been made in smart home ecosystems, with Matter leading the way.
It is essential to involve the real estate developer in the creation of the Smart Home, and Titiro Digital aims precisely at this – explained the Sole Director of Titiro Digital – to synthesize and propose new solutions and services for new residences, responding to the needs of the real estate world and the final consumer to create a more cutting-edge and appealing product. Titiro can give a boost to the success of innovative Smart Home products, but an additional added value is the creation of unique real estate products, thanks to the possibility of integrating services and functions that meet the needs of developers, as well as building administrators and final consumers, to simplify a series of fundamental processes.
Titiro Digital has created a product, the #TitiroApp, that meets the needs of the entire Real Estate chain and is liked by developers because it is a commercial lever, by administrators because they can communicate with condominiums, and by condominiums because they can manage the building more easily.
